Ethno Club Paraskeva

Named after Saint Paraskeva, the patron saint of weavers, the Ethno Club   was founded in Saint Petersburg, Russia in 1994 by Svetlana Komarova, an artist and a textile designer.

The Club’s main goal is to connect to traditional culture through the arts of weaving, spinning, quilting and doll making. The organization collaborates with the Russian Museum of Ethnography, researching traditional textile techniques and running a traditional crafts school for children and adults. The Club members frequently participate in local as well as in international exhibits.
